Lalith Edirisinghe is a doctoral candidate in Transport and Logistics Management. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Trade and Logistics; a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (Distinction pass) and an Executive Diploma in Marketing (Distinction pass). He commenced his carrier in shipping as a Cadet and then served in Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, and leading Shipping Lines (agents) namely, Mitsui OSK; UASC and SCI. His 30 years work experience comprises of Commercial Shipping, Customs and Border Management, and Education. Her assignments include the Honolulu International Airport in Hawaii, the Port of Laredo, Texas (Mexican border), the Port of San Juan, Puerto Rico (seaport) and the Office of International Affairs in Washington, D.C.

He has worked primarily in the field of petroleum for most of his career, with a short stint in the apparel industry.  He is a Chemical Engineer by profession and holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
